New range of formulated disinfectants based
on short-chain organic acids.

At LABORATORIOS ZOTAL®, we are developing a research project that essentially consists of a “NEW RANGE OF FORMULATED DISINFECTANTS BASED ON SHORT-CHAIN ORGANIC ACIDS.”

The main objective of this project is to explore the capacity of short-chain organic acids, either alone or in combination with each other or with other active ingredients, and formulated with specific excipients, in search of efficacy synergies that allow the development of more environmentally friendly disinfectant formulations for the domestic, food industry, and livestock markets.

The project is currently underway and is expected to be completed in 2023. Its execution involves an approximate investment of 724,000 euros and has been developed with the support of the Center for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) of the Ministry of Industry, Economy, and Competitiveness, co-funded by the European Union (ERDF Funds) through the Multi-Regional Operational Program of Spain (2014-2020).

New formulations for disinfectants and insecticides

At LABORATORIOS ZOTAL®, we are developing a research project that consists, in basic terms, of “New formulations for disinfectants and insecticides.”

This project aims to reformulate several products by optimizing their formulas through the use of new solvents and other excipients, reducing or eliminating the use of certain families of active ingredients to be replaced by other molecules with a better toxicological profile. Additionally, we aim to eliminate the use of solvents in some of our products and introduce new excipients that are more environmentally friendly.
